Memberships
How do I become a member?
Easy - simply click here to join up. Your membership fee will automatically be deducted from your pay each month, so it’s a set and forget deal. You can also choose to have your monthly fee deducted via debit or credit card. The social club will absorb all fees associated with these payments.
Why do we have a new member portal?
To make your life easier! It’s a one-stop shop for new members to join, and a place for members to see what events are coming up, purchase tickets to events, check out photos from past events & lots of other information available to members only.
It also makes it easier to see who your committee members are, get in touch with them, as well as make suggestions to keep our social club fresh and exciting.
Most importantly, you'll have access to your own account so you can see exactly what you've purchased & see who is going to the same events as you. You will also be able to update your own details and even upload a profile photo. It's a much more transparent and user friendly process!
What if I forget my login details to Tidy HQ?
No problems – just login with your membership email address and click 'forgot password'. You membership email address is the one you would have signed up with, usually your Tronox email address. If you have any issues, you can contact one of our friendly committee members for help.
How do I update my details?
Simply login and click onto your name on the right hand top corner and select 'Contact Profile'.
Why do we have to pay a membership fee/what is my membership fee used for?
We try to keep your membership fee as low as possible, but it is a necessity for us to do all the cool stuff we do throughout the year. Your membership fee allows us to deliver events to you well below the retail price. It also allows us to offer raffles and sporting club membership tickets to you. Fees all go into a central pot, which we use to offset the full price of events.
Who can be included in your membership (EG: Can my friend's kid be counted on a family membership, can a ‘couple’ membership be me + a friend etc)
You can invite anyone you like to events – as long as you are present and you don’t go over the membership level you pay for. EG: If you pay for a couple membership, it can be you and whoever you like! If you pay for a family membership, it can be you plus one adult and 2 kids. They don’t have to be your kids.
Communication
I don’t receive all the event comms through email?
We communicate with our members through a variety of broadcast communications – emails, display screens around site, newsletter updates to name a few. However, we know sometimes we miss emails and that’s okay – we have you covered with our new member portal! You can jump on our portal to see all upcoming events, to buy tickets, and check out all current social club news.
I work shift and don’t check my emails regularly – How do I know whats on?
Jump on the member portal to see what's going on! You can also set the member portal as a short cut on your mobile phone (see instructions below) so you can access the site at any time!
Events
Why are some events on Saturday and Sunday?
We try to mix it up for the family events. With all the commitments the kids have on the weekends it's nice to have a choice.
Why do we only have 1 event for the EOY but 2 of each event throughout the year?
Once a year we like to have an event where we can all get together in bigger numbers. It allows us to have a party at a larger venue & keep costs down by providing one DJ or band, one entertainer etc. We rotate each year to opposite shifts so all have a chance to participate & enjoy these larger scale events. We also invite other social clubs to participate so it's one big party!
Why aren't the events closer to Kwinana?
We all like to get out and about and try new things, as well as keep our favorites such as Adventure World and Rottnest. Our members live all over Perth, so we try to keep things central ie. Perth CBD and Fremantle, or locations easily accessible by public transport.
How do you calculate the cost of events?
We use an event cost calculator so ticket prices take into acount things like venue hire, catering, and fees. We then offer a discount, on top of any group discount we may obtain, and calculate a great ticket price for you. Some events are more heavily discounted, such as Rottnest and Adventure World, as these are our most popular events.
How are events decided on?
Once a year the committee gets together and runs through suggestions, taking into account feedback from previous events, survey feedback and any comments from members we receive throughout the year. We provide a balance of family and adults only events and a sprinkling of other ad hoc events to keep it interesting. You can chat to the committee at any time to table and idea, as we are always on the look out for cool new things to do.
Draws
I haven't won tickets to a sporting event – Is it rigged?
All our draws are witnessed by two members. All our raffles are filmed as a live event on our Facebook page.
